We've made a book, goddamnit!
'Words by Simon&Julia Indelicate'
Anyone with a passing interest in The Indelicates will know that frontpeople and songwriters Simon and Julia have a long and tuberculotic history as jobbing poets. This book collects together some of the poetry that they are happiest with - as well as an extensive record of the lyrics they’ve written for the band, some as yet unreleased - in a gorgeous 7” record shaped volume that will look at home on your bookshelf, on your record shelf, or even propped up precociously behind your toilet cistern to impress people.
Including Simon’s long poem ‘The Principle of Quicksilver…’ and Julia’s modernist epic ‘Bacchus and Ariadne’ as well as extensive footnotes to the lyric section that detail inspirations, answer questions and dispense insults – we are proud to announce “Words by…” as the latest addition to our range of Indelicates brand lifestyle enhancement products.

And me and Simon for these and all other rantings.
We will certainly be attempting random publicity exercises during the day on the 23rd August, so if you have any suggestions, or want to help, or take part, or sing along, i'm sure i could make it worth your while...
On tuesday I am going to see Malcolm Gladwell talk. I am very excited about this as me and Simon LOVE his books. Outliers is BEAUTIFUL. And the Tipping Point is just excellent. As is The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen comics, which we've been reading late into the night, and which are giving me very odd dreams, only slightely odder than usual.
I've also been eating maple candy, which is probably my favourite sweet, and which I got for my Birthday via here (I understand Maple Man Greg was very helpful):

Farewell for now, come see us at the upcomings, hear the new songs, generally drink.
